Born in Sweden in 1973, Carina Prigmore now lives in the Scottish Highlands, surrounded by the Cairngorms mountains. Her depiction of the Scottish landscape has a distinctive edge of softness and she has developed subtle yet energetic techniques that bring a sense of quietness, solitude and calm. Direct observation of the natural world is the foundation of Carina’s work and her paintings connect the viewer to the beauty of the wilder places we still have left.
Carina studied Art & Design at the University of Wales, Cardiff and has a BSc Honours from the University of Aberdeen in Conservation Biology. She now exhibits her work in some of the finest galleries throughout the UK. Find out more here.
